Symposium Scope

This kick-off symposium of the Taiwan Association of Raman Spectroscopy (TARS) features lectures and posters from distinguished scientists and young researchers including graduate students working on the forefront of Raman spectroscopy. The topical areas presented and discussed in the symposium include:

Linear and nonlinear Raman spectroscopy
Biological applications of Raman microspectroscopy and imaging
Ultrafast time-resolved Raman spectroscopy
Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectroscopy
Tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy
Theoretical developments

An opening speech will be addressed by the world-renowned spectroscopist, Prof. Wolfgang Kiefer (University of Wurzburg). Invited lectures (45 min) and talks (30 min) will be delivered by the following scientists (in alphabetical order).

The symposium will be held in Science Building II, National Chiao Tung University. All oral presentations as well as a poster mixer will be held in the same building, facilitating active discussions and intensive exchange of ideas among the attendees.

Abstract Submission

Please prepare a one-page abstract according to the template and send it to tars.symposium2013@gmail.com as an attachment.
Deadline for abstract submission: June 26, 2013

Registration

There is no registration fee, but advance registration is strongly recommended. Registration form should be submitted via email to tars.symposium2013@gmail.com, preferably along with submission of an abstract. Registration includes an abstract booklet and a name card strap; lunches and coffee breaks on July 4 and 5; dinner during the poster mixer on July 4.
